back brake

hi mine has just failed the mot on n/s back brake not working good enougth. so i checked it out today and found it had been leaking brake fluid even tho in isnt obvious where its leaking from i assume it has to be the cylinder ? but the thing is according to the master cylinder i havent lost any fluid.there isnt anything else i should be looking for is there ? thx colin

sure it's not axle oil rather than brake fluid i had the same problem and it was the little oil ring gone inside the rear axle

i think umight be right growler mentioned same thing to me so what seal is it exactly thx colin

9/10 times you need a new rear wheel bearing, play in the bearing means the shaft can move around and oil gets past the seal in the axle tube.
