Graunching Noise

Its only happened a couple of times, but since Devils Pit, when I turn right and bump up the (rather high) drop kerb to my garage I hear a "ratchet" sound or like a slipping gear ( like when you move the stick on a manual without operating the clutch. Should I be worried?

sounds like something isnt right, get someone else to drive it up while you listen where the noise is coming from

I'd have a good check around underneath for split CV Boots, however it sounds like you've covered a Shock absorber with grit or one of the Ball joints. That grit that was evident in the pictures is bound to get everywhere and will stick to any oily bits like s**t to an army blanket. This will make a nice grinding paste unless you get it cleaned off.

Have you greased the steering stops? Devils pit was really dusty, probebly soaked up the lube.

Thanks guys. I was planning to do all the lube points underneath, after changing the cam belt, thermostat and changing the coolant.

Thanks all. Finished fitting the Cam Belt on Sunday and flushed/descaled/replaced coolant. There was a bit of daylight left so I got some grease on the end stops. CV boots look OK and sprayed some copper slip into the anti-roll bar bushes. Mouse like noises eliminated from there too.
