Code 11

I'm getting Code 11 - Switch sign (Vehicle not in P or N or A/C on) out of my ECU.

Air con is off, car is in Park. Any ideas why its erroring? And any ideas how to fix it?

I know it's ignorable, but I'd like to fix it anyway.

try disconnecting the batteries for half an hour or or sell and get a 3 gen

Probably something to do with the neutral start switch. It's on the passenger side of the transmission, nearest the bellhousing.
Could also be dirty plug under the gear lever.

Had the ECU out for 2 hours today, so batteries won't help.

Can't do a third gen, I've an aversion to hairdressing paraphernalia.

I've also got what seems to be an earth problem in the OD switch or computer.

When I switch out of OD with the car in neutral, the OD light on the dash is bright, with the car in gear, the light is dim, with the lights on, it's dimmer still. I'll stick a new thread up in the electrical section about this.

You suggesting a dirty connection has me wondering if they're linked.
