  • scrapping Noise on Full lock

hi just recently acquired a Scrapping noise on full lock (left)
sounds like it is coming from the front of the truck,
had a quick look underneath but nothing looks out
any suggestions to what it can be?

    thanks in advanced

Could be about the second most asked question on Surf sites. Try this:
    http://www.hiluxsurf.eu/faq_exterior.htm#stops

Here is a diagram of the stops (yellow arrow and yellow circle):

possibly, or just put a blob of grease on each of the stops every couple of months

mine sounded awful when i first aquried it ! got home turned wheels on full lock and OH my god i've bought a bucket of creeking rust ! NO !
having located the stops i greased them and have never had a peep since ! occaisonaly if i hear a noise (usualy after wet weather or FORDS) i grease again!
            takes about 30 seconds , HONESTLEY !

thanks to this forum and all the great advice thrown about !
internet is an amazing tool sometimes ! how on earth did we do without it

Mine too, I use copper grease, but any thick grease would do, mine has lasted about 3 months, even survived jet washing.

              Still working for the man!
