  • Procomp order update

After more than a month waiting I went to collect my procomp 2" lift kit with ES9000's off Explorer

    BUT..... a few anomolies

The rear springs were missing. They informed me that the rear springs would only arrive in 2 to 4 weeks... FROM AUSTRALIA thought procomp are Yank products!?!

Then, looked at the box containing the front springs - on it is labelled DESERT FOX. WTF is going on!?!

Could not find anything on 'desert fox' products - may be utter cr@p - thats maybe why some fella was complaing about rear sag after only a year on this kit.

Also, I ordered ES9000's all round but the box for the front struts/shocks are labelled ES6000. The guy at Explorer reckons its the same as ES9000's. Question: then why label it different???

If anyone can shed some light on 'Desert Fox' and 'ES6000' front shocks, please let us know - otherwise this lot might all go back.

    Ash.

Desert Fox are made in Asia and sold as their own brand by http://www.offroad4x4.com.au/index.htm

Procomp are American owned, but as I said earlier, Desert Fox springs are Australian. I wouldn't think Procomp would risk their reputation selling duff parts.

ES6000's are struts, perhaps they're just in the wrong box? Does it say anything on the shocks themselves?
Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

What make of 2" lifted rear coils do you stock mate?

Been onto Roughtrax - the 2" rear coils they supply are also 'Desert Fox'
        same as Explorer.

Just been back onto Explorer - the guy insists the ES6000 is the ES9000 but in strut form.

        Can anyone confirm?

        Ta,

Looking at Explorers US site ES6000s are listed for the front of a 3rd gen so it looks like you're being given correct info
