  • strange noise

Driving today and noticed what seems to be a noise similar to when u put a card on a bike wheel and a clicking noise i only noticed this at around 50 miles and above and seems to be coming from drivers side rear.

Question is the bearing on it's way out as below 50 i don't hear any noise but when i got 50 and above the noise comes back and stays constantly?

There are no breaks in the rear is there just the drum?

you have a stone in your tyre tread,or a card and peg fixed to your wheel

Yeah i have bfgs on the front and it more a click, click, click etc... if the clicking speeds up with you going faster its a safe bet its a stone. you should check for stones regularly as they can distort your rubber and after you spent that much on your boots you wanna keep them nice!
it never rain it pours! glad I got the 4X4

So what are you using to stop the rear wheels and how did it pass an MOT?

Those “drums” on the back axel ARE brakes… they just have brake shoes inside rather than disks with pads like you will find on the front
Mine WAS a 150 bhp V6 and ran on PETROL

I was using my feet to stop it from the rear, u telling me i cut that big hole for nothing

Also i been hearing squeaking from rear when i break so i think i got to sort the whole breaking system out on the surf as the rear drums do look a tad rusty and me get the feeling they haven't been done in a while and mot is end of the month and got to have a full service for that too

Ordering from roughtrax anything else i may as well get done whilst the breaking system being sorted?

                    Brake fluid.
If it's in the same condition as the rest of the brakes, it'll definitely need changing.
