    hallow chaps been away for a couple of weeks working came home started the truck up and the t-belt stayed on do i need to change the timing belt or could it be that it has been standing for a long period and it just needs resetting cheers.

    Belt needs changing at 100,000km. that's usually when it comes on.

      mines done 164000km so i presumed it had been could it just be an electrical fault with it being stood for a while or do you think i should change it cheers.

          The first thing i do when i buy any car is change the belt, filters and oil as a matter of corse and for peace of mind even if the belt looks new. For a few ££s it'll save ££££££££££ssss for a new motor.
