When i got my winch bumper i went bl**dy crazy

if i cut the rubber boot that goes around the gearstick what problems might i have ?

i think it is this that is pushing the gearstick out of 2nd and 4th gears.
the gearstick goes all the way back into 2nd and 4th but is getting pushed back and i think it must be that thick rubber boot.

Take it out and trim a tiny bit off with a sharp stanley knife. Do a tiny bit at a time, then check. Keep doing that till its right.
