  • Water Temp. After Market Gauge

    Hi All,

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Can anyone tell me the best place to put an after market water temp. sensor and what diameter pipe I need to get?

I want to put the type that you splice in to a pipe, you know the kind, looks like a "T" and connects to an after market gauge.

    see here:-

    This kind of thing!

Where is the best place to fit it and what diameter do I need?

    Cheers!

In the front of the thermostat housing there is actually another bolt hole blanked off with a nut. I put my sender in there it meant no copping slicing or anything.

Isn't that where the sender for the electric fan is supposed to go?

Yeah, if you have an auto just remove the plug and screw in an M16 X 1/8 NPT adapter for an electronic gauge sender. Hoses are 32mm ID so if you do the hose mod, you will need a 32mm with the appropriate port thread for either a mechanical or electronic gauge sender.
