My hand break light comes on intermittently when i am driving. the break is not on and it will turn off with no action on my part either. I guess there is some sensor or loose fitting- wcan anyone suggets whats causing this and what the resolution is? thanks

If the pads are low, the piston will be a long way out and there won't be much fluid left in the resorvoir, so sometimes the low fluid light comes on as you start and stop as the fluid sloshes around the float. You don't actually have a low pad light, just little metal tags that rub on the discs when the pads are low and make a squeaking noise.Originally posted by fergushad a bit of a search onthe site and saw soem further posts re same subject-earlier post said it could be indicator of wornpads-was that correct?

thanks for that tony and others. Now funily enough i do remember my other half commenting on the breaks the other day but i though that was just because she is used to better break response in her car. maybe i should pay more attention to her!
