  • Anyone Who Bought A Direct4x4 Light Pod!

    Hi,

    Just got one of these!

Can anyone who has one please tell me the optimal placement on the roof?

How many cm/inches from the front, center and sides etc.

Once it's on ,it's on! so don't want to make any mistakes!

Has anyone painted theirs? (I think RodLeach did but I can't find the pictures!)

    Could you post pics Rod?

Did you use primer and if so which one?

    Thanks guys!

From experience with my rooflights, although i didn't get the pod, i would reccomend doing a temporary wiring job to check the best position which leaves the least glare off the windscreen/bonnet. If you can, do it somewhere dark or do it at night and mark up where the best place is. The glare is far worse at night, to the point where with my roof lights on i can hardly see out the windscreen if it's pitch black. I checked and marked mine and then decided to move them slightly during fitting, and the glare is crazy, i only moved them a few mm too. So stick with what you decide.
