  • New Or Recondition

    Hi Guys,

I've just been told my turbo is on it's way out whistling and dumping fuel/oil. So they reckon they'll have to send it away for re-conditioning.

Is this the best option or can I get a new one?

Whta's the costs involved? If I have to get the existing one reconditioned I'll be without my Surf for 3 - 4 days!!!!

Get a recon one, should cost somewhere in the region of £250 - £300 I think. New one will cost a fortune, think it's somewhere around £800.

    Cheers

Try Turbo Technics in Northampton. I seem to remember someone on here had their turbo rebuilt there and they did a good job. I know they've been helpful when I have spoken to them.

Yes. Both should be the CT20 and should have the same casing shape.

                        Cheers
