hi guys,i know its probably been covered and i have used the search and i have found that i can use landcruiser springs to heighten the rear , i guess that is standard l/c springs, right? and if i fit these will my stock shocks be ok as im not taking it off road just yet ( wife wont let me , thinks ill break it )
and do i adjust the front torsion bars with the wheels on the ground or jacked up?

with the hd j80 lancruiser springs the rear will lift at least 3".Measure the gap from the top of the rim to the under side of the wheel arch.Jack the front up so both wheels are off the ground and then adjust the torsion bars.A max of 2" is all you can adjust them

My standard shocks topped out with LC80 springs fitted, and the ride was backbreaking over bumps because of it.

I'd personally go for 2" taller springs if you aren't gonna change the shocks at some time.

Well, I designed it, but a certain forum metal-magician fabbed it up for me from stainless

i was intending to change the shocks but not right away unless i notice they do need it, also i intend to change the wheels and tyres for larger and hoping the stock items wont look too small for now.

Go for the LC80s then. Some people have found that their shocks were OK, I found mine definitely weren't!
