do they just bolt onto the truch or is there a special way of doing it? is there suppose to be a plate inside? to strengthen it

i could be wrong but i think the pillar has to be strengthened, then there's the tailgate catch, instead of having the reverse lights and number plate in the center the number plate is offset to the left, the reverse lights are in the taillight clusters and there's a catch thing that fits to the centre of the tailgate where the reverse lights would've been.

The pillar needs reinforcement, the Toyotas that came with the swingarm tire carrier have 2 reinforcement brackets welded in place with captive nuts for the bolts to tread into. The swingarm gate will need the catch plate installed where the licence plate is now and the license plate holder is mounted to the lower right on the carrier. If you have all the parts your in bussiness, for mine a fabbed 2 3/8 steel backplates and drilled/ threaded holes for the bolts. You can also order the factory reinforcement brackets and other parts through a bodyshop or dealer. Hope your install goes well. mine was well worth the effort.
