2.4 diff into 3.0

hi does anyone know if a 2.4 auto rear axel or diff will fit a 3.0td manual?the 3.0 is a LSD not sure on the 2.4,but both 2nd gen models,cheers

check the axle codes off the vin plate, make sure they are the same ratio.

Generally speaking you can swap them between the 2.4 and the 3.0. But you'll also need to change the front diff as the 2.4 and 3.0 have different gear ratios.

However, I'm not sure if a non LSD diff will fit in a LSD carrier (or the other way round) as I think they are slightly different. In which case you'll want to do a complete axle swap rather than just the diff.

I had an lsd diff and swapped for an open one, no probs!!

Rear diffs all physically fit any truck, just get the gear ratio right, LSD or not dosn't matter.

so it sounds like as long as the front and rear diffs match i should be ok,2.4 or 3.0.
would it therefor be ok to use 2.4 diffs from a kn130 instead of one from a kzn130?
