Anti-roll bar play direction?

Had my 3rd gen serviced last week (including new cambelt) - also checked the rear rear ARB for play. Here's the thing:

There is little or no play when trying moving it up-down BUT 3-4mm when push-pulling left-to-right (or wheel to wheel).

Is still still a sign of knackered bushes? Or link arms maybe?
