It seems my rear axle has decided to start leaking as in the pics does anyne know what the problem might be , job size , any info? help , it appears to be coming from the top n/s of what I think is called the pinion casing and a small amount at the front of the casing where it links to the driveshaft, also there is a small nut with some sort of casing on top of the axle just of centre what is this ting???
    cheers wade.

That ting is the diff breather, if its blocked it will cause pressure in the diff as it heats up, sometimes leading to leaking, usually from the axle seals though.

The pinion nut (remove prop from diff, big nut in middle) sometimes comes loose, leading to leaks from there, or the seal could be shot.
