    Hello.

Just got a Surf. Its a lovely piece of kit.
I came with a winch complete with handset but is not wired up.
I can see where the live and earth look like they go but there is a grey plug with 2 pins. Does this need to be wired anywhere or will the winch work withought it ???

A wiring diagram or something along those lines would be brill.

    Cheers for any assistance.

aye, 'tis the factory option one. I'm afraid there ain't a lot of information available on them, although there was a thread fairly recently. There was a limited amount of info on the www.ih8mud.com forums. All i can tell you is that it's a 3300lb (1500kg) winch and it was probably made by a company called aisin. As for wiring i couldn't really say, most winches would have a separate solenoid/contactor pack which i would hazard a guess is where this plug would go to, but i can't be sure.
