  • Tinted Windows ??

Whilst this point isn,t "mechanical", I couldn,t think where else to post it.

My Surf has tinted/reflective, rear passenger , cargo and tailgate windows.
I can see out just fine, but people can,t see in.
This makes the contents of the cargo area more secure.

How will this be affected by the new regulations and inspections, I heard about on the radio this morning ?
Where can we take our vehicles to get them checked ?
Apparently, if your vehicle fails a roadside light meter test, you may be refused permission to drive it away and have to contact a vehicle recovery firm.
Not a lot of fun, especially if you are a long way from home.

Does anyone know any more details about this ?

Will have no bearing on you at all, this will only apply to front windscreens and driver/passenger front windows, rear end makes no odds at all...... after all no one insists on windows in a van do they ?

Keith is right. I was listening to an "expert" on the radio this morning. He said as long as the windscreen and front side passenger windows let in 70% of available light, you'll be OK. He said that the rear windows could legally be "bricked up" as far as the law is concerned.
        It's only a hobby!
