cleaning my nudge bar

i know not very technical but what it is ......... there's some small rusty parts on the welds of my nudge bars i've thought about wire wooling it but not sure how to seal it after! and rechroming would cost a fortune.......... any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I got a pot of "barmans friend" for around £1.50! Its just a power! add water, turn it into a paste rub on ! an hey presto!!! Rust will be gone and any tiny marks vanish aswell! good stuff

sounds good where will i get it from and what about sealing it so it doesnt rust again? or do i just use the stuff regularly?

I got mine in home hardware in romsey!! BUT i think its a general hardware house type product mate!! should find someone sellin some!

Yeah just retreat it if it looks a bit rusty again! lasts ages!! I did a tiny spot on my rear bumper about 2months ago now n its stopped that!!

if you get a good thick coating of mud, then the rust wont be noticable, less effort, more fun!

this may sound crazy but i was looking at cleaning some chrome on my motorbike when i was told that if you scrunch up foil and dip it in coke this makes a good cheap altenative to the polishes for getting off small bits of rust??? not tried yet so cant guarantee anything...
