Graunching noise on full lock

Recently when turning on full lock there is a disturbing "graunching" noise coming from the steering. A colleague suggested the power sterring fluid may be low but checked that and all ok. 1994 3.0 TD KZN Surf.

Any suggestions

I've always known them as bump stops
