Clonk on full left lock???
Sometimes, not always, on full left lock on steering there's clonking sound coming from the left wheel area, i know i've seen some posts somewhere about surfs and problems with steering on full lock but can't remember where i read them. The surf is a 1991 2.4TD auto and any help or pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. If anyone needs anymore info to try to help diagnose the problem i'll do my best to answer any questions you may want to ask.

It may be, but i don't think so, the front shock on the left side - has a small dent on the outer part which shows signs of rubbing the inner part slightly but as i say i don't think that would cause a clonking noise.
