Just tried to replace my air intake pipe.

The old one had split so I got my new one from Milners. Went to the car park at lunch and loosened the clip.......................... .

$$$$$$ screw / bolt fell out into the engine bay, never to be seen again!!!!!!

If I can't even do this most simple of tasks there isn't much hope of me fitting a fuel pump seal or a rocker cover is there

You've just learnt your first lesson! Its been like that for me since I started driving and maintaining old cars. The negative to your situation that you'll be hanging over the side of the engine bay searching and the positive is you won't do it again! No harm done!

LOL, so embaressing. I bought a pair of pliers just for that job yesterday at Halfords.... Got all excited about sorting it out and then dropped the funking screw!!!!!

I was only 1 minute into the job.....

By the way, it seemed like abitch to get the pipe off, is it meant to be difficult?

I spent two, (on and off), days replacing coolant hoses. Everything is a devil to do on a Surf.

I can put dieseil in ok, and drive the thing. My music works good too... But I reckon everything else will be getting done by Stevo from Stockport (air hose included!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
