  • Rim Width/Tyre Size

Hi Guys, Ive done a search but cant find the answer to this one,so maybe someone can tell me. I am running 30-9.50-15 tyres on 8.5j alloy rims ( these were on when I bought it.) In spite of my pleadings, the missus is fairly clear that any kind of lift is out of the question ( to be fair, she drives it as much as I do, shes only little and struggles as it is) so it looks like its just gonna be bigger tyres. From what I can gather from related threads, 31-10.50's are about as big as I can go, but can I fit these onto the rims that I have (8.5j, remember?) or will I have to get a wider wheel?
My karma ran over my dogma ..

so IF (and its a massive IF) i could talk the missus round (or just do it one day when shes at work ) into a 2" lift, could I go to 12.50's on 8.5j's?

Ill probably just settle for the 10.50's. The chances of suprising the missus with an extra couple of inches is slim at best ......... lol

on the 2" lift kit from roughtrax you will only get about 1.5" of lift with that kit and it is hardly noticable, thats what i found on the 2.4 when i fitted it anyway

thats the suspension lift that you will only get 1.5" from, but the body lift you will get whatever lift the spacers are.
