  • Suspension help needed ASAP

right fellow surfers, got a real big problem, snapped 1 of my shocks (don't know how!). it's got racho shocks on the rear (1 of which has snapped). I got a 1994 3.0TD KNZ130 with 1 inch body lift and 1 inch spring lift, where can i get a shocky that will fit ASAP, milners said i got no chance of puttin a standard 1 on, although i got standard 1's on the front.

    help urgently appreciated

body lift doesnt come into it,the shocks arnt attached to the body.so all you need is a +1 inch pair of shocks, try pro comp shocks.es9000s.

With just a 1" spring lift standard should be fine, although if you can't get the rancho's you're probably better off replacing the pair. Give Tony a call and see if he's got any procomps or order some from the explorer/procomp website they do anything from standard to +4" shocks i think, although not as good as the ranchos. (I hope not for the price difference anyway)

Even if you can source Rancho's I'd strongly reccomend replacing both rear dampers rather than just the broken one.
Replacing just one will mean there will be an imbalance in the suspension due to the existing wear in the old damper unit.
Certain items such as brake, tyre and suspension components should always be done in pairs to maintain optimum and above all safe performance.
