Odd Mpg

hi every body
can you help my 94 3.0 surf td
when i first had it she would do around 28 to 30 mpg then all of a sudden i could only get 21 to 24 mpg no loss of go no smoke the only thing is the idle speed dropped from 750 to 500 and somtimes it bobs up and down
anyone got any ideas

Wang some injector cleaner in and give her a good thrashing. (Not that type of thrashing, you pervo's). See if that makes any difference first.

Dirty injectors.

Three options, starting with the cheapest.....

3. Buy some Redex diesel injector cleaner and add the contents to the fuel tank or fuel filter.

2. Get your injectors reconditioned.

1. fit new injectors.


Make sure your air filter is clean too!
