VSV 6 should have a small black canister shaped filter on it. Do not connect to vacuum or cap it. Look at your other VSVs and you will see what they look like providing they are not missing as well. You can always make a filter from a small plastic fuel filter stuffed with some cotton wool and connect via a piece of vacuum hose. This end of the VSVs is open to atmosphere to allow air to pass in and out of the plunger end of the VSV. The T on the turbo pressure sensor line is for the boost gauge.

OK...the good news is its running now...no engine lights and im happy all the vcuu hoses are in the right place

the down side is...its still gutless unless you rev the arse off of it in 3rd...once you change in to 4th the revs just seem to either just about hold on the flat...pick up a bit down a hill or drop off uphill!....never even got as far as 5th!...oh...and to add insult to injury the speedo just packed up!...it was wobbly before so suspect the cable has snapped or something

i have a sneaky feeling that i may have fuel related issues...when hinishing off fitting the engine i noticed a weep from the top of the fuel pump...on removing the lid i noticed some sort of sealing paste had been used rather than changing the O ring....i changed the O ring..and now the leak has gone...but i did noitce some of the sealent in the pump...im thinking maybe some has worked thru and is now partly blocking an injector(s)...

also over the last day or so ive noticed its taking longer to rumble in to life when im cranking it...and when it finaslly does start its a little rough..and also tickover is sometimes a little spluttery (sometimes sweet as a nut tho) so might be letting in air somewhere too?
