OK thanks for the advice...should it be between the hot and cold marks or do I need to fill it to the top mark?

Have the engine running, foot on the brake and go al through all the gears.....PRND212DNRP. Leave engine running and check level, it needs to be be halfway between the hot and cold marks.

What kind of transmission fluid do I need to get? Went to Kevin Coopers today but there were a couple different types...any ideas?

Look at the small print on the container, it should say 'Dextron III'

                I use this....

Ok. Just one more thing, after driving it for a while today, the more I drove it the worse the original problem became, it seemed to take longer for the wheels to engage when I was pulling away from somewhere. It starts off fine when its cold but the hotter it gets the worse the problem becomes. Do you still think it could be down to the transmission fluid?

you will probably be better off changing the fluid and see what it's like after.i think that is the cheapest option to start with
