funny noises

Hi I have just brought a surf.Its a 93 ssrx 2.4 TD.I have a problem,maybe you can help.When going down the road I'm getting a funny noise from the front end!Sounds like a tambourine !!!Something loose or rattleling .I have looked underneath, and under the bonnet,have taken off front wheels but can't find anything loose.Any ideas.It happens under power or coasting or braking if the roads bumpy.

Have you checked the nuts on the bash plate?

have same problem on front end ,have changed bearings renewed cv joints ,eventually found problem worn bushes in steering knuckle (the driveshaft rattles ) milners do the steering idler arm for £95....and the bushes for£2.00.will phone tomorrow to see if they are right parts ...hopefully will do at weekend ..will update when job finished
