Wobbly Wing Mirror Glass

Hi,

The mirror glass on my passenger side wing mirror seems to be quite wobbly ( certainly far more than the driver side ). I was wondering what held this glass in and how can I access it to sort it out. I have a 92 2.4. I don't think it's in imminent danger of falling out but that's something I'd rather avoid !

There is a screw in the base of the mirror housing. You can get to it through a hole in the bottom. The glass is held in place by two plastic clips. I've seen several with the plastic damaged where the screw goes. Broken by overtighting etc.

In response to this I am just about to replace my smashed mirror when the glass arrives undamaged! Can I do this without removing the whole housing and rubber?
