Intercooler?

When I looked into a Japanese auction by the Internet there are some 3rd gen Surfs with an opening in the bonnet. Sorry, I do not know it's name in English. I was told by an agent from Japan that this is the Surf with an Intercooler.
1. Does somebody know the difference in bhp to the normal turbo?
2. Can there be a problem with the SVA with this "hole", and perhaps a
sharp edge, on the bonnet?

It gives another 7kw or just a few more bhp , and you should have no problem with the SVA test No sharp edges .
