  • Rounded Bolt

    i have recently taken the chrome front A bar off my 2nd gen and now have the task of removing the ugly tie down plates that it bolted to - i have 3 bolts off so far but the last one is well and truly stuck, 3 sockets and a ratchet handle snapped so far !, how can i undo it now i have unfortunately rounded it off

    Depends on how easy it is to get at. drilling it out or grinding the head off is the easy way as long as its poss to get at. Try heating it and bashing the head to break the coheasion as an alternative and douse with WD for good measure.

      Another oddball one,

      If you can get at it, put a dimple in the middle of the head with a centerpunch, then drill a tiny hole all the way through down the length of the bolt. can work remarkably
