  • Still don't know where all the pipes go?

    Hi Folks,
Still wanting some info on where all the vac pipes under the throtle housing come and go on a 2L-TE engine, only I'm sure that there is one in a wrong place as I still get black smoak on start up, on acceloration, and while cold, once warm only a bit on acceloration but still loads on start up, It's drinking diesel (down 100K per tank full ).

Some pickys would help or if there is any one in the Hucknall area of Nottingham, with a 2.4 2L-TE engine in, that could be persuaded to get their bonet up while along side my 2.4 please send details to sonicsi@btinternet.com

They are for the 2L-T. There are no diagrams for the 2L-TE that I know of. Best option is another 2L-TE to look at or post a pic of the part/area you want and someone can check for you.

        Any joy?

        Hi Sonicsi,

Did you have any joy sorting out the problem? I have a '93 Surf with the same engine. I'm over in Beeston if you still fancy looking at another set of pipes.

        Cheers,

        Dan
