Mot Fail Both Cv Gaiters

Last Year It Failed On N/s Seal Had A New One Fitted.2 Year Ago O/s One Went .o/s Cost £130 Different Garage Last Year Charged Me £60 . This Year £240 For Both Am I Being Ripped Off & How Long Should They Last. I Dont Go Off Road ,but Go Over A Lot Off Road Humps . I Own A Hilux Surf 2.4td 92 Import. Carnt Fit It Myself As My Husband Knows Nothing About Cars.

I could be wrong but I think there are 2 gaiters each side 1 inner & 1 outer
they should last for more than a year

In my experience it does tend to depend on where you drive, but I do think that's too much money to pay to have them done. I just had two outer gators supplied and fitted, plus new disks and pads fitted (i bought them) for £175.

you could allways get some free wheeling hubs fitted and then your driveshafts/gaiters wont be tested for the mot again
