different sizes of prop shaft?

Hi My 2.4td G reg 4 door surf`s rear prop rear joint is knacked ordered another "second User" shaft part (how the differnt words sound better than second hand) and the one that came was about 12" shorter are there 2 lenghts of prop???

I think manual props are shorter then auto props .

only by inches, sounds liek you got something compleley different.

Surely its easier to replace the worn UJ??

thats what I was going to do

When I got the prop off it was driving on the edges of the uj retaining bracket and had nearly worn through to the needle rollers so as they say in the army BER, beyond economic repair. New prop red`d
