You must be joking, A Flea knows more about engines than I do,
I will give the oil change a go, how many miles between oil changes
TonyN is your man if you need someone to do it - for sure he is a top dog on these motors.
Miles between oil changes is 5000...not km...and its 6litres with filter and 5 odd without filter change. there is a servicing info section on here if have a wee search.
dont forget to do the filter too - its accessible through the bonnet and an easy change.
The cam belt is simply a case of removing the cover, releasing the tensioner, removing the tensioner and then replacing the belt....you then need to use a vice to tension the tensioney and stuff an allen key in the tiny hole in the body of the tensioner to keep the rod locked in so you can refitiit...then remove the allen key and viola....(this applies to second gen 3.0l - not sure if 3rd is same).

.
I think the 3rd Gen is 8 litres with a filter change, although I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. I certainly got 8 litres into the engine the other weekend, and the level came just below the top of the dipstick. (AFTER running the engine for a while - I'm not quite that green).

8 litres Beaky ?
Gonna add a *more economical than a 3rd Gen* to my for sale ad....!
Tony - I'm gonna try the oil change myself - but the bigger jobs I might have to come down and see you. As long as you make me a cuppa and a bacon buttie.
My Brother lives in Andover so Basingstoke is on the way,
cheers
Drink Till she's cute, but stop before the wedding
