Cast iron and aluminium

Do all surfs have a cast iron block or what and what are the heads made of???

1/ Yes, 2/ the same.



I think the V6's are cast block with alloy heads.

As a matter of interest the latest type 3.0 diesel fitted in 98 on Prado's and Collorado's has an Aluminium cylinder head. We did the head gasket on one a couple of weeks ago and was suprised to find it had an Ally head. No cracks just warped.
