Starting Motor Prob I Think ?

Hi all,
think i have a prob with my starter motor as sometimes it starts good othertimes all i get is a ticking like the battery is dead but both batteries are good thought the points inside and the plunger might need changing i cant find any pics of where the starer motor is or how to do it unless u have a 3rd gen but mine is a 2nd gen 3ltr all help would be greatfully recieved ty
