oil change intervals

Can anyone please tell me the milage intervals to change the engine oil and filter on my 1996 3.0 diesel. i have tried various sites but cannot find any mention. Take care, alf

hiya mate well as with all my diesels before i allways use top quality oils and all ways chane the oil and filters about every 5 thousand miles its prob a bit early but if you want to look after your lump then 25 quids worth of oil is better than 2 grands worth of engine mark

If I recall correctly its 5000kms for the oil and filter every 10,000kms seemed to recall this was posted somewhere as the recommended intervals.

or in pommy-speak oil every 3000 miles or 3 months and filter every 6000 miles or 6 months

My view would be, if you change the oil then change the filter - absolutely no point in saving the £5 or so on the filter and then filling your nice new oil with C**p. Plus if you're getting dirty anyway.

Here is a copy of the maintenance schedule for the Cruiser which has the 1KZ-TE 3.0 diesel engine as the Surf. i.e. Anything engine related will be the same.
