Hi all, tried the search but couldn't find anything so apologise if this is an old Q? One of my door locks has thrown in the towel, managed to get the little blighter out, and it really is broken. Any clues as to where I can get a shiny new one? One last thing why did the japanese make such an awful head? Yup mine went, chap at the garage said the way it's cast doesn't help? I think he was talking about the engine! I'll be regularly changing my thermostat from now on. Cheers jeffers

Nowt wrong with the engine, there was a design fault on the water ways to near the valve guides.
As long as you got a BRAND NEW head the have been redesigned, if you got it repaired/stitched it will come back again.

For your lock try Bob (Hilux) or Chris (Streetluge) they may have one off one of the motors they are breaking

Thats a relief, it was a brand new head so fingers crossed, I have been so concerned that I haven't towed the caravan with it yet. Have to put that right now, time to clog up the roads of Dorset! Cheers Jeffers
