Location of Jack and jacking up points.??

  • Location of Jack and jacking up points.??

    Hi.

    I know this might sound silly.?? forgive me if it does.??

    But where is the jack etc.. stored on a 1994/5 Generation 2 Hi-lux/surf.??

    And also where are the jacking up points for me to jack up the car.??

    Can anyone help with means of photos etc.??

    Passenger side, rear seat base, if you feel down the back of the seat you should find a pull tab made from seatbelt material. Pull on this tab to release the seat base and pull forwards. The jack is stored under a metal plate in the floor. Under the drivers side of the seat, you'll find the jack handle.
    To jack the truck up, you use the chassis rails or rear axel, basically any where that looks solid.

        At the front I used to jack at the front diff crossmember. At either end of the member it connects to a lower wishbone, if thats not solid then no-one is safe! Axle stands however I would put on the chassis rail underneath where your feet would be

            just don't jack the body... it'll most likely separate from the chssis...


            and the jack won't reach anyway!
