Can anyone shed some light on the technicalities of the drive train on surfs?

Id like info on stuff like difflocks and suspension setup, whats fitted to what spec vehicle and the likes please.

Do they have any difflocks as standard apart from the centre difflock?

2nd gen surfs are simple, exactly the same as a Hilux pickup.

    2wd for on the road

    4wd H or L for offroad.

Aftermarker lockers are availble for either axle if you want. There is no diff in the transfer case, so no diff lock needed!

If your looking at 3rd gens (96' on) then you have the choice of 2wd, All Wheel drive (center diff unlocked) or proper 4wd (center diff locked) All wheel drive and 4wd have H or L ratio.

Lockers are available as well for each axle as per the 2nd gens.
