  • Slick 50 !!!

    I am going to do my oil change tmorrow on my lovely surf and was wondering if it would be ok to add a bottle of slick 50 when i do it ???.
    I have used it in the past havent had any problems would it be ok ???.

    Hi,

    The only thing that i have heard about Slick50 is that it is solids based (PTFE) so you are making the oil thicker or something - sorry can't remember exactly the point that was being made. I had a friend who used it when it first came out and it seized the engine cause it had not been run in.

    What I can personally recommend is Activ8, I noticed approx 10% increase in fuel economy and the engine and turbo spins up much easier and my Surf seems a lot more eager.

      I put it in mine last oil change and it runs sweet as a nut.

        I have used Slick50 for many years and have never had a problem with it.I treated my 2.4 soon after purchase and have not had any problems with engine.Runs smoothly,no overheating etc.

        Change the filter at the same time and take it for a good run straight after treating.
