read the posts ref c v joint replacement and bronze bushes so i know your all bored with the questions but before i do the cv joints can you just confirm -

noise from front axle when wheel hard to the right - am assuming cv joint .

ok if i do the cv joint and fit new gaiters at the same time is there anything else i need to do ref bronze bushes - 80,000 miles . getting close to christmas and want to order the parts up before the christmas shut down .

    thanks

before you rip out the cv joints, you have checked the steering stops haven't you? if the noise is only momentry on full lock these are a favourite for worring noises, easily solved with a spot of grease.

A worn CV joint is more likley to manifest itself as an intermittent whirring on cornering.
