  • Removing EFI Pipe for Glowplugs

Hi i need to change the glowplugs . went out to try today in freezing cold weather and suffering from a cold. didn't get to far . will try again at the weekend BUT. ...

I removed the airbox , but i need to remove the alloy bit that has EFI written on it , didnt spnd long looking as i figured i didnt have the right size sockets for the plugs anyway. But , a quick guide to removing that bit out of the way would be handy for when i try again.

    Cheers

All you need is a 10mm socket and a pair of water pump pliers to remove the clamps. Then remove the buzz bar by undoing the black hex topped screws. If they break off use a female torx socket and tap it on gently. Then remove glow plugs with deep 12mm socket- i think.

You just unclip the hose clips, move them out the way, and wiggle and pull the 'EFI pipe' out. Easy.. It's only held in place by the hoses. Getting it back together is the fun bit...

        Did mine today.. Good luck!!
        It just does, OK?

Yeah nose bleed indusing force to get that bugger back in ! Split the rubber pipe in the end , but still works ok , no turbo leak.
