clunk at the back!

  • clunk at the back!

    Morning all
    in my 3.0l when I brake there is a clunk from somewhere in the back, sounds like the underslung spare moving? - not!
    or
    like the jack roling about - no
    or
    something moving in the boot - empty
    or
    loose rear bumper
    or
    something suspension or rods or ????? - pulled and pushed, found nout
    any ideas, sugestions, or I had one of those and it turned out to be........
    Ta!
    Did I mention I have a BLUE one

    what about the anti-roll bar bushes have they gone?

      It happens to all BLUE Surfs, It's a vanity thing.

      It's the sliding joint on your propshaft, it probably needs greasing.
      While your under there, you may as well grease up all the nipples you can see.

        vanity? maybee but well deserved!
        will spread some of the slippy stuff when it stops pi$$ing down and thanks storm f will swing on the A R bar as well

              I had a bump on mine ......and it wasn't the bush but the bracket that attaches to the chassis had broken and was cluning up and down the chassis.
