    Pop off the cover over the strap to pull the tailgate down. Undo the 10mm bolt and remove bolt and strap. Get a firm grip on normally one of the lower corners and give it a firm yank. Its held on by plastic body poppers all the way around.

      Remove the screw/bolt from behind the pull-own strap thing first. There's about 10-12 plastic trim clips around the edges of the trim panel that you can't see. Use something small and thin eg metal ruler to carefully lever the edge of the plastic panel away from tailgate, popping one clip at a time. Once all clips are released you can lift/push the trim vertically (with tailgate shut) to lift the internal window seal off the tailgate.
      That's it.
      You're best off trying to release the trim clips with the boot open and lifting the trim clear with the tailgtae down.
