after last weeks brake pad change i'm now coz on a run up in the hills on sunday,i noticed an awfull smell coming from the front wheels and the amount of brake dust is silly( wheels very hot at bottom of big hills but cold on normal roads). since pads were done i've covered about 400 miles, when i did the chage i did de glaze the discs and copper slipped the anti squeal/rattle plates and freed up the pistons.
i'm cosidering taking the pads back coz at this rate my discs will warp
old pads used to heat wheel up but not like these plus no smell or brake dust

any advice from you ever helpfull bunch
p.s. any idea cost and from were i can get injectors and do they need setting up or are they like glow plugs

where are they from ? are they toyota ones?
Tony just changed mine, I had toyota pads on which never gave any dust off - the new ones do more but not really "tried" them yet
Not noticed any excessive heat though.

Mine did the same, and i had my disc's 12 grooved as well. They seem fine now and i also was worrying about overheating.

UK cylinderheads where doing recon-ed injectors for about £120 (+vat and p&p) They just screw in, no setting up needed.

If the pistons are sticking badly then you may not have pads in a couple of weeks.Keep an eye on them and if they continue to heat up then it's caliper rekit time.
