3.0 td cat removal?

hello, i have a 95 3.0 ssr-x diesel, is it possible to remove the cat on it?

I had to remove a cat from a fan belt once. It had crawled up into engine bay to have a sleep and when owner started the car it got caught and was almost skinned.A bit messy.
