  • Jacking points on 93 3.0L TD

    Hi,

I need to replace the shocks and springs and was wondering if anybody could suggest 'safe' jacking points on the truck.

I'd rather not do it like this:

For one thing I don't have the I-beams kicking around, and it dosn't look very safe...

    Any ideas, suggestions welcome.

    Thanks.
    Joe.

I agree. It's actually quite scary the way he did it.Use a trolly jack under the diff and get yourself (or borow) a couple of decent stands. If you have a good solid towbar then the stands can be placed under this. That's the way I did it.Don't forget to chock the front wheels.

Its only luck stopping the whole lot pinging out backwards!

Thanks guys. I wasn't sure if the rear diff could/should take the weight.

Wheres a good place on the front. I might as well do the front shocks as well.
